The E Series Dynamics Module features a compressor/limiter and an expander/gate, both of which return faithfully to the circuitry and key components which define the sound of the original SL 611E Series channel strip.

Channel compression in 500 series
A true RMS converter is used in the side chain while the gain element is an all discrete design identical to the Class A VCA chip used in the original unit. The compressor contains additional switching options to defeat the over-easy curve and to use a linear release instead of the more usual logarithmic curve. The result is a compressor with three distinct voices, each with its own musical character.

SSL's range of 500 series modules offer key elements of the SSL sound that engineers and producers have relied upon for decades, and with the release of two new processing tools: SiX CH and UV EQ, there's also the next generation of advanced workflow, superior sounding and truly flexible production tools joining the range of classics from the legendary SSL E and G series consoles.

Features

Immortal SSL 4000 Series circuitry

Class A VCA replication

Expander/Gate

Based on classic 611E console channel strip

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0677/9931/8737/files/044a63c1-eac8-4891-b560-1d690538ce8c.jpg?v=1789935320
